Barnstormer’s Ball

Barnstormers Ball Aug 23 6:30 pm The Barnstormers Ball is the MuseumÍs inaugural evening fundraising gala. Don your glad rags and join us for a night of music, fine food and festivities inspired by the roaring ï20s and set amongst the MuseumÍs stunning collection of ground vehicles and aircraft. For one night only the Owls Head Transportation Museum will be transformed into the most happening joint around! Dance the night away while enjoying bespoke cocktails, hors dÍoeuvres and music by Tony Boffa Music Presents: The Carmine Terracciano Band. Dappers, Dames and Fly Boys alike are invited to this ritzy affair set to the backdrop of our dazzling collection of WWI era aircraft and ground vehicles. The Barnstormers Ball is the MuseumÍs much anticipated first-ever evening fundraising gala. Breathtaking WWI aircraft flyovers, a specialty silent auction, music and period-inspired games will add panache to this 1920s-themed gala reflecting the era of our core collection. A CedarWorks play set will headline a small live and silent auction with approximately a dozen specialty items and packages including earrings by Michael Good, custom cufflinks by Thomas Michaels, a weekend getaway at the Harraseeket Inn and more. The winner of a 1951 MG TD will be drawn. As the Museum casts the spotlight on the expansion of our education initiatives, we look to the community to support these exciting programs available both on and offsite. With Media support from Down East Magazine and food by Chef Kerry Altiero of RocklandÍs acclaimed Cafe Miranda the Barnstormers Ball offers an opportunity to support the future of the Museum while enjoying what is certain to be one of the most talked about events of the summer. Tickets will be available in advance, and a limited number will be sold. All proceeds will directly fund Museum education efforts. Check back frequently for information on ticket sales, or contact Public Relations Director Jenna Lookner at jl@ohtm.org for volunteer and sponsorship opportunities.
